About the Author

Lori Weiner was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and has lived for twenty years in Rancho Mirage, California. She is married to Martin Weiner and has one daughter, Kandice. She has a special interest in showing dogs as a sport, but would go out of her way to rescue a dog or provide one with a good home. She was inspired by her own Italian greyhound, Dino, who is very smart, funny, and inquisitive. She adopted six thoroughbred horses from the Finger Lakes racetrack in New Jersey. Those horses were saved by Finger Lakes and were on their way to slaughter. She now cares for those horses and provides them with a very good home.
